Why do you do mail art?
ANSWER:
Simply because I feel the need to communicate in a creative way. Not only communicate to people around me, but to all kind of people out there. I like to paint and draw , but don't like the world of the official art institutes. Mail art then is an ideal playground and it brings you many new experiences.
When did you start with mail art?
ANSWER:
Actually this is a difficult question. Do you mean when I started to send out correspondence? (1967 or so). When I started with TAM (1980). When I got hooked up to the mail-art network (1983). For such details I have put my biography online so you can find out all the details.
Why do you interview other mail artists?
ANSWER:
Because I wonder why others started with mail art , how they experience this , what makes them tick, etc. Not all mail artists have explained their stories and I wanted to know. So to be short, I was curious and started with asking questions. When you get answers, you automatically have an interview, and you can access all those words at the interview-section and read the stories others tell me.
